The following pictures are from todays Latham meeting.
Another bag by Kathy. I love it. The right picture is her inside zip pocket.
This is an embroidery on denim. Stay tuned to see the finished garment.
Proudly wears her creation. Bravo! And below is one of three like dresses she made for the little ones in her life. Fabric purchased at Hobby Lobby.

A note from Juanita:
Hi, just a reminder from today’s Latham ASG meeting:
For Our AUGUST 12th meeting we plan to bring in a completed quilt block ( or two or more)
We will COLLECT them at that Meeting (and enjoy them and share the patterns, etc)
We will ASSEMBLE them on or before the September Community Sew
WE DO need them in August so we can plan how to assemble the quilt
The quilt will be shared at the November annual meting, then donated to a charity
The THEME of the quilt block is: Children (the quilt will be for a child)
The SIZE of the quilt block is 8-1/2” square (very square please) The 8-1/2” size will make an 8” block when completed (1/4” seam allowances)
I’m sending this reminder now so you have all summer to plan & construct the block.
Also, please keep track of how much time you put into you block, we will add our time to the ASG tally for donated time.
Actually, ALWAYS keep track of your donated sewing time, let (any) neighborhood leader know how much time you ‘donated” and it will be added to the donations tally sheet to National.
AND spread the word to other neighborhood groups, they are welcome to participate in this charity quilt, they can get the blocks to Shirley, Kathy.

Wit from Carole: Who remembers Eric Von Zipper? Was he in Beach Blanket Bingo? Whatever the movie, he was hilarious! Always zipping and unzipping the zippers allover his jacket...

April 2014 Clifton Park Button Bracelet Meeting
Rita walked us through making button bracelets. She was very generous with her wonderful
collection of buttons and crystals, and tools! I was able to walk away with a
bracelet on my wrist!
