As a member of the American Sewing Guild you can subscribe to the ―THREADS magazine for 20% off of the regular cost. This discount is available when a minimum of 10 orders is submitted at the same time. If you already have a subscription you can renew through this offer and the staff at Threads will apply this renewal to your original subscription.   • Conference: Usually held in July or August.  ASG members get a discounted fee where attendees can participate in workshops and seminars taught by nationally-recognized professionals.   • Neighborhood group meetings: Members can attend any neighborhood group meeting in the Albany chapter or any of the 1000 groups in more than 125 ASG chapters. Find them on http://www.asg.org/ for chapter locations for more info for your next vacation or winter/summer home area.
  • Event discounts: Being a ASG member allows you to attend chapter events and educational events at a discounted rate.
  • Annual meeting: Usually first Saturday in November a luncheon with fashion show of member entries. This luncheon is very affordable and fun!
  • Fellowship: With so many members with different interests and skill levels there is sure to be a sewer that can help you with your challenge.
  • SEW YOU KNOW: our Albany chapters' very own newsletter, printed and mailed to your home or email 4 to 6 times a year.  This resourse supplies you with all you need to make the most of your membership, advertisers, calendars with events and neighborhood group activities and topics, lists of the Chapter Advisory Board members, lists of neighborhood groups with times and leader contact info, interesting sewing tidbits or adventures or tips or book and class reviews, and Chapter membership form.
