A special thanks to Juanita Brown for opening her home to some enthusiastic sewers. We had a great time sewing and chatting. Thanks Juanita.
Poke around this blog and you will be surprised how easy it is and how much we are doing.
See you soon - Joyce

A year to remember
Hello members! The year 2011 is out! Say "Bye-Bye" and now we are living it up and sewing it down in 2012.
First up! The ASG Houston chapter is hosting the 2012 ASG Annual Conference and has invited all chapter in sewing blankets for the Community project this year. It is a three part project in that the blankets will be used for hospice patients, veterans, and babies. It is suggested that our chapter make these and donate them locally. There are directions for each of these projects which can be found on our www.ASG.org website.
We have two events coming up in April. The Sew Expo bus trip is on April 12 and is sure to be exciting. Check out the classes available at www.sewingexpo.com. More info to come on the financial and contact info. The second event is Peggy Sagers of www.silhouettepatterns.com on April 28. Again more info to come.
On September 29 we will have Mary Mulari of www.marymulari.com.
Have you asked yourself "where is my newsletter?" You are not alone! The chapter has decided to email the Sew You Know newsletter to your email on ASG files. If you check your email "in" box and don't see something from Sallye check your "SPAM" box or trash box and look for Sallye. Mine was deliveried 12/10/11. You can also view the newsletter on the www.ASG.org website, under members then look for chapter newsletters.
Look out soon for a FACEBOOK page of our very own!
A gentle reminder: This is your chapter! Make it what you want! Submit to the blog or newsletter, go to board meetings, participate in events and help out! There are so many part time ways you can assist our great Albany Chapter.
Best to all this year!
Bonny
